The month of June was red hot in Tralee with it all finishing off on June the 30th live on sky sports for one
of the biggest nights to hit hit the track in many a year
The highlight being the Betdaq Race of Champions Final with an under card to rival derby night in HQ.
On the weekend just past we saw semi finals galore with some brilliant racing and some top class dogs
and handlers offering a night of thrills and spills for the huge crowd.
The Red Mills open 500 sweepstake semi finals saw Droumeragh Padre dip below the 27 second
barrier (26.77) to book his place in the final next week (30th June) followed home by 3 ½ lengths by
Matching Tom and Saleen Island Two making the finish 3 home and not a local in it.
The second semi had Lisnakill Ross stop the clock in 27.11 two lengths ahead of Blakes Cash
(locally bred but not owned ) and New Lawn Tock finishing the line up Beaming Mark the new track record
holder over course and distance failed to match his run this time and failed to qualify.
The semi final of the Killahan Phanter/College Causeway/Droopys Noel Sprint saw locally bred and owned
Cashen Malouda (Cashen Legend x Blakes Fawn) hit a very fast 17.56 (325) to win by two lengths from
Killerisk Bridge (Daves Mentor x Bridge Dawn) and Numeral Bullet (Slip The Lark x Droopys Just Hot).
The second semi won in 17.67 by Hursul Bertie (Droopys Scolari x Hursul Annie) from Coole West Bound
(Head Bound x Oklahoma Slippy) and Millbankscarface (Big Daddy Cool x Ann Knows Best) complete the
line up next week.
The Very Hot Kingdom supporters club unraced stake also at semi final stage saw most of the favourites
fail to make the final with some top class pups sure to be big runners for the rest of this year. In the
first semi final Rattling Joe (Crash x World Lark) clocked 28.88 with Voltair Rumble (Ace Hi Rumble x
Shelburne Merc) and Jumeirah Man (Premier Fantasy x Droopys Just Hot) following him home. In the
second semi Stone Park Crash (Crash x Adored) stopped the clock in 28.71 with Icandomajic
(Kinlock Brae x Thorns And Roses) and El Miller (Crash x Mandeville Black) completing the final line up in
what is to be a brilliant line up on the night.
The Betdaq Race of Champions semi final again the saw the local dog up turned on the night with a
classy performance from Razldazl Rioga (Brett Lee x Razldazl Pearl) running the 550 in 29.74 with both
Power of God (Head Bound x Money Gall Larky) and english raider Bubby Phoenix
(College Causeway x Droopys Top Gail) making all to make the frame.
In the second semi Airforce Diva was withdrawn and Shelburne Geoff (Where’s Pedro x Shelburne Dora)
won in 29.67 with the much fancied Droopys Jet (Slip The Lark x Droopys Mo) and the local Ballymac Vic
(Kinlock Brae x Ballymac Vicky) completing the trio and final line up. On the up coming card for Tralee
sees the Paddy Byrne Memorial Sweepstake A1 525 for July.
Some other notable runs in the last few weeks from the track saw local runner Dacent Bolt clock 28.57

Club dog a Burn Park Champ x Ballymac Penske dog.
Ballymas Penske a brindle bitch and daughter of Flying Penske and Ballymac Minnie is a half sister to the
likes of Green Heat, Ballymac Bull, Jason Flight, and her first litter to Burn Park Champ has produced
Ballymac Eske 135 rating with 3 from 5 won and looks an over all tasty litter.
